CHS Teacher Named SC Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher of the Year

cw Clover High School's own Family and Consumer Science teacher Christy Wilson has been honored as the recipient of the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences Teacher of the Year for 2013.

A teacher at CHS for fifteen years, Ms. Wilson is also active as an advisor for our FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) chapter.

She was chosen for her creativity, innovation and progressive approach to her classroom curriculum as well as for her ingenuity and perseverance used to to overcome obstacles. Ms. Wilson's current classes this semester at CHS include Fashion, Fabric & Design and Family Life Education.

fs The award also encompasses her influence on students' lives within and beyond the program. Ms. Wilson was an integral part of our most recent Fashion Show that incorporated the designs of her students and showcased their talents.

She accepted her award on Thursday, February 21st, at Embassy Suites in Columbia, South Carolina from the organization.
