When is South Carolina's Tax Free Weekend?
Parents are reminded that the South Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) will hold its annual Tax Free Weekend August 4-6.
During this time frame, shoppers are exempt from paying the 6% state sales tax and any applicable local sales tax when they shop in stores or online.
Eligible items include clothing, accessories, shoes, school supplies, backpacks and computers.
