Greetings Eagles!

I am Dr. Terree Andrew and I am your new media specialist.  I am so excited to be joining the Oakridge Elementary Family.  I have a passion for sharing the joy of reading for both information and pleasure.  I can't wait to share some of my favorite books with you and learn all about your favorites, too.

Getting to know Dr. Andrew

I have always loved reading and learning, so when it was time for college I knew I wanted to share that love with others. Therefore, I earned my first degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. I later returned to Appalachian to get my library science degree. Most recently,  I graduated from Gardner-Webb University with an Ed.D in Curriculum and Instruction.  I have taught for 27 years in various roles, including teacher (kindergarten, fourth, fifth), reading intervention, and media.  

I am the mom of 4. Their ages range from 7-16, so my house is LOUD and busy. I enjoy reading, traveling, and crafting when I am not teaching or running my kiddos around.
