Hey there, Eagles!  My name is Erin Crist and I am so lucky to be teaching 5th grade at Griggs Road this year!

I was born and raised on a dairy farm just north of Clover.  I attended Bethany Elementary, Clover Middle, Clover Junior High (back when we had one of those!) and Clover High.  I was a Choralier for four years, played varsity soccer, was part of the student council, and was in the marching band.  Clover is home to me and I'm so glad to be here!!  After graduating from CHS in 2003, I went to Winthrop University and earned my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education in 2007.  I accepted a job in Fort Mill where I taught second and third grade for seven years.  While teaching, I began my Masters of Education program at Columbia College.  I received my degree in Divergent Learning in the spring of 2012.  I was fortunate to marry my best friend, Stephen, in April of 2013.  We are parents to a first grader at GRES, and two curly-headed dogs - Daisy (12) and Holly (almost 2.)
This is my eighth year teaching fifth grade and my 15th year total teaching! I have my gifted and talented endorsement from Converse College, have been trained in the William and Mary curriculum and have worked with students of all ages in summer camps at the York County Museum.  I have high expectations for my students and love teaching!  I am excited to teach our students how to be curious and independent learners.  This is going to be a great year!!  Please do not hesitate to email me or contact me with any questions or concerns.
