Welcome to 5th grade! I will be the ELA/Social Studies teacher. This is my fourth year at Griggs Road, but 12th year teaching. I taught kindergarten in Indiana for two years and third grade in Ohio for six years. I truly enjoy being in the classroom to see sparks fly when learning occurs. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies as well as learning more about our country through travel. I am originally from Indiana and attended Purdue University, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and we have four children, Taylor 8 yrs old, Ryan 6 yrs old, Nora 3 yrs old, and AJ 1 year old. Taylor and Ryan are at Griggs as well in 3rd grade and 1st grade. We also have a furry golden retriever named Ivy!
