The Black Culture Club (BCC) of Clover High school is committed to intelligent, cultural, social and ethnic diversity. The BCC's focus is to build awareness, education, and a new level of consciousness about being an African American in today's society. We aim to teach others about diversity and show that through engaging in activities focused around acceptance and tolerance, we will get a better understanding of others while learning about ourselves.
The BCC's Vision is to build positive self-esteem, build encouragement, gain friendship, and gain knowledge as we strive to create Leaders, Achievers and Believers as well.
The purpose of the Black Culture Club (BCC) is to assist students of all races celebrate, embrace, and expand their knowledge of African American history and culture. Our goal is to provide social support while fostering student development and success through cultural awareness, leadership, and community service. Each meeting provides students with a safe place to talk about and share personal experiences as well as address and discuss cultural and social issues surrounding African Americans in our country. The club is open to all CHS students who are interested in learning more about the history, traditions, and customs of African Americans. Some of our activities will include field trips, workshops, voter registration drives and the Black History program. We look forward to you joining our club with open minds and fresh ideas!
