My name is Kristen Hilderbrand. I will be teaching 3rd grade Language Arts and Social Studies this year. I have lived in Clover for 15 years now and absolutely love it here. I grew up in Northeastern Ohio and lived there for 26 years. That is where I started my teaching career in Special Education. I married my husband, Jon, in July of 2002 and moved to Charlotte in August of 2002. I taught 5th grade elementary and gifted in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools until April of 2006. At that point, I took a break from teaching to be a stay at home mom to my two amazing little boys, Gavin and Gage. Gavin is in 9th grade and Gage is in 7th grade. I started back teaching the 2013-2014 school year at Larne as a Special Education teacher for 2 years and a 2nd - 5th grade Reading and Math Interventionist for 5 years and a Reading Recovery teacher for 1 year .  I am so grateful to be a part of this journey with your children this year at Griggs.
