    • The School Nurses continue to work with Dr. Quinn, the district office staff and school staff to put protocols in place for a safe reopening for the 22/23 school year which has been impacted by COVID-19 endemic. 

      Student Health Guidelines (Updated 8/2022)

      Clover School District strongly recommends the following for the safety of our students and staff:

      1. Stay home if you feel sick or have a fever of 100.0° or higher

      2. Masks are recommended when community transmission is high or there is an outbreak in the classroom.

      3. Maintain a physical distance of 3 feet from others whenever possible.

      4. Practice frequent hand hygiene (using hand sanitizer or washing hands with soap and

        water for at least 20 seconds).

      ISOLATION GUIDELINES FOR SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19

      If your student has any of the following symptoms with or without Fever (100.0° or higher):

      •  Shortness of breath

      •  Difficulty breathing

      •  Loss of taste

      •  Loss of smell

      •  New cough

      •  Worsening cough

        Keep your student home and contact your school nurse for further guidance.

        Students with symptoms at school will be required to wear the provided mask until they are dismissed home.

        Students may return to school when one of the 3 criteria is met:

        1. Complete an isolation period (options follow):

          1. 10 days have passed since symptoms began, student has been

            fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, and symptoms have significantly improved.

            OR

          2. 5 days have passed since symptoms began, student has been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and symptoms have significantly improved, student will wear a mask days 6-10, and Early Return Agreement is signed and turned in.

        2. Medical evaluation determines symptoms were due to another cause, has a doctor’s note with return date, and has been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

        3. Student tests negative for COVID-19. If a home test is used, the Confirmation of At-Home COVID-19 Test form is completed and turned in. Must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

      ISOLATION GUIDELINES FOR TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

      Complete an isolation period (options follow):

      1. 10 days have passed since symptoms began (or date of test if no symptoms), student has been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, and symptoms have significantly improved.

        OR

      2. 5 days have passed since symptoms began (or date of test if no symptoms), student has been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and symptoms have significantly improved, student will wear a mask days 6-10, and Early Return Agreement is signed and turned in.

      MASKS

      Students returning early from isolation must wear a well fitting mask until their isolation period is complete. Students WILL NOT be allowed to use gaiters as a mask.

      ATHLETICS

      Students participating in athletics who are isolating will follow isolation guidelines. If a student tests positive they can participate in practice and competition with a mask on days 6-10 as long as they meet the early return criteria and also follow social distancing guidelines.

      AT-HOME TEST KITS

      Clover School District has received a supply of at-home test kits from SC DHEC. The test kits are available to students who are sent home from school with COVID-19 symptoms, as long as supplies last. If you would like a free at-home COVID test kit, please come by the school to pick one up.

      These tests will be administered at home, not at school. (HOW TO USE TEST VIDEO). Results should be reported to your school nurse using the Confirmation of At-Home COVID-19 Test Form.
