Our curriculum is varied by grade level. Specifics should be addressed to the grade level teachers but here is some general information. This is not an all-inclusive list. Some materials are used by teachers while other teachers might not find it as useful for their students. The following are the "bigger " components of our curriculum materials. Zoophonics: A pre-school and kindergarten tool to teach letter sounds to their students
Literacy by Design: (grades K-5) This is the set of materials we use to teach English language arts. This curriculum is VERY different than what many students, parents, and teachers are used. Instead of every student reading the same stories, teachers will be using a variety of literary pieces based on a student's reading level. Teachers will teach skills as opposed to a story. Students will not have a book of stories to bring home as they have done in the past.
Fountas & Pinnell leveled readers: (grades K-5) Teacher use books that are leveled to the students' individual, instructional, and frustration levels in fiction and non-fiction.
