Larne Elementary School

          I am originally from Sharon, SC., but have been living in Clover with my lovely husband-Felix Wade. We share the love of our son, Future, and  God-baby girl, Avorie.  I have one sister, Dr. LaPonya Burris, who is a 4th grade teacher at Hunter Street Elementary School. She is very enthused about beginning this school year, too!

          In 2000, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Winthrop University. In 2006, I received my Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Elementary Education also from Winthrop University. Also During 2006 I obtained my G.T. (Gifted & Talented) Certification from Converse College. Afterward, I graduated from Converse College with my ED.S (Education Specialist) Degree in Curriculum & Instruction in 2010, while completing my National Board Certification. I am an Early Childhood Generalist.  I was named Teacher of the Year during 2010-2011 at Cotton Belt Elementary School in York, SC. In addition, I am a certified CERRA Teacher Mentor and Evaluator through Winthrop University.

          Educating young people and positively shaping their minds is very dear to me. I appreciate you allowing me to be a part of your child’s educational career. Communication is the key to a successful school year.
