Parents/guardians may send in a special treat to school for their student's birthday. The following must apply in order to be shared with their classmates:
store bought with a nutrition label (not in-home bakery)
unopened
nut-free
These will be shared at a designated time determined by their teacher after approval by the school nurse.
When to keep your student home for an illness
24-Hour Rule - Please do not send your child to school with the following in the last 24 hours:
Dizziness
Fever
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Rash of unknown origin
Persistent deep cough
Strep throat
School Nurses use the DHEC School Exclusion List as a guideline, but check with your school nurse before sending your student back to school. Students need to be free of vomiting, diarrhea, and fever for 24 hours without the use of medication prior to returning.
SC Immunization Help Information
As of July 1st 2022, all students entering school will be REQUIRED by state law to have a South Carolina State Certificate of Immunization (DHEC 4024). We will not be able to accept other state immunization records, personal records, or medical provider records unless printed on the DHEC 4024 form. If you need immunization records transferred to a SC State Certificate of Immunization, please refer to the letter below or contact the school nurse.
