About Mrs. Moore
This is my twenty-second year of teaching and my twentieth year at Bethel. I previously taught two years in second grade, five years in fourth grade, and thirteen years in third grade. This is my second year doing intervention with Bethel students. Every year has been exciting, memorable, and a time of growth as I have been lucky to teach such wonderful students. I enjoy the enthusiastic students, staff, and parents at Bethel.I lived with my grandparents when I was little and now live in Rock Hill with my husband John and our two children, Patrick and Mattie Jane. They are the love of our lives, and we enjoy our family time.I graduated from Winthrop University in 1994 with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I completed a Master's degree in the area of reading in 1997. I continued my learning with endorsement in Gifted and Talented education and National Board Certification in Literacy. I look forward to continuing my education throughout my teaching career.I love to read, sew, and exercise. I read while my children participate in their activities-gymnastics, football, and Boy Scouts. I often rise at 5 am for a run before the school day begins, and I ride my bike around 100 miles per week, cycling is my favorite. I go to the gym on off days and walk with my husband at night!
I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect in my classroom. I work hard to establish a feeling of security for my students, so theycan learn to be creative, independent thinkers. I love being a teacher and accept the responsibility with a great deal of dedication and joy!
