The CHS Air Force JROTC Marksmanship team traveled to Anniston, Alabama over the weekend of February 19th to compete at the Air Force JROTC Marksmanship Nationals and came home with a highly respectable 8th place out of nearly 100 Air Force teams nationwide.

In only their second year of formation, the team certainly hit their mark and put Clover on the map.   The five-member team consists of Ray Beebe, Kristopher Dauble, Brianna Fish, Meredith Sutton and Emily Stefurak.

Their AFJROTC instructors are MSgt. Clarence Woodham and Major Brian Batson, respectively.  Both teachers were named Air Force Instructors of the Year for 2015.

Sophomore Cadet Brianna Fish shot a 547 out of a possible 600 in the second round, the highest single round in the competition, and finished an amazing 4th place out of nearly 500 shooters nationwide.

Next up will be the All Service Nationals and the Junior Olympics.

Congratulations to our Blue Eagle cadets on such a wonderful accomplishment!
