Clover High School Awards 448 Diplomas
CLOVER, S.C. – Clover High School* celebrated its 68th commencement on Thursday evening, June 6th, by awarding 448 diplomas to members of the Class of 2019.
“Graduation is particularly unique in Clover because all roads across the district lead to this moment,” shared Clover High School Principal Rod Ruth. “With each name called, you can hear the echoes of proud Clover tradition coupled with an inspired hope for future endeavors. I have been so impressed with the accomplishments of the class of 2019, both in performance and character. A Clover High School graduation ceremony is the perfect picture of what happens when a caring community comprised of dedicated parents and adults support a hardworking and second to none educational system as they work alongside the top students in the state of South Carolina.”
The two top performers in the Class of 2019 are valedictorian, Aaron Scott Falls, and salutatorian, Abby Smith Renner.
Accomplishments by the senior class are of the highest quality, including 181 seniors who will graduate with honors having earned a 4.0-grade point average or higher, 177 SAT/ACT scholars, 30 military commitments and six seniors who received the bi-literacy seal on their diplomas.
The senior class was very active in finding a college that fit their individual goals. Over 1100 applications were submitted to 233 different colleges across the country from the many colleges in South Carolina to all four corners of the continental United States and Hawai’i.
