Crowders Creek, Oakridge Elementary, and Oakridge Middle School Closed, Thursday, October 10, 2019
The district has been advised by York County Emergency Management that the recent water main break has caused significant disruptions to the water service at Crowders Creek, Oakridge Elementary, and Oakridge Middle School for an extended period of time.
These interruptions in service will impact the use of restroom facilities and potable drinking water. York County Emergency Management has recommended school facilities affected by the water main break close tomorrow, Thursday, October 10, as a result of this issue.
Following this recommendation, Clover School District has elected to close Crowders Creek, Oakridge Elementary, and Oakridge Middle schools tomorrow, Thursday, October 10, for all staff and students. This includes the cancellation of all after school activities.
Again, ONLY, Crowders Creek, Oakridge Elementary, and Oakridge Middle School will be closed. The rest of the district uses a different water source, therefore, they will remain on a normal schedule.
If any further changes to the school day for the remainder of the week are needed, we will notify our community once they are determined.
As a result, students in these three schools will participate in an eLearning Day on the first make-up day Monday, February 17, 2020, as listed on the approved district calendar. Additional details regarding the eLearning Day will come directly from your school.
