CSD Receives Waiver to Provide Meals Free to All Students
Superintendent Dr. Sheila Quinn announced on Thursday, September 10th, that Clover School District applied for and has received approval to provide free meals to all students.
This program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and will expire on December 31st, 2020, or until federal funds for this program have been exhausted, whichever occurs first. Clover School District will continue to participate in this program as long as funding is available. If any changes occur, they will be communicated swiftly to parents.
The federal program requires students to receive a complete meal to have the fee waived. Items purchased from the a la carte menu or extras will still be charged to the student’s account. This will be an automated process requiring no action on the part of families.
Students in the Clover Virtual Academy are eligible to receive meals as well. Clover School District will provide additional details this week on procedures for students attending CVA to pick up meals at any district school.
