Clover School District Board Amends 2021-2022 District Calendar; Students off on January 18

On Wednesday evening during a Special Called Board Meeting, the Clover School District Board of Trustees approved an amendment to the district’s 2021-2022 calendar to assist with staff COVID-19 numbers that have reached a critical point. The Board approved moving the teacher workday scheduled for Monday, March 14, 2022, to Tuesday, January 18, 2022. January 18 will become a holiday for students and a virtual work day for staff.

The change is based on significant numbers of staff absent from work because of positive cases, isolations/quarantines, or caring for family members absent due to COVID-19 protocols. The extra day creates a four-day weekend from January 15 - January 18, with the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday, January 17. It allows many staff and students to return to school on Wednesday, January 19, and take advantage of the new shortened quarantine days.

Monday, March 14, 2022, will become a regular school day for students and staff. Clover School District recognizes that this is short notice for families; however, it is important to properly staff each building and keep school safe for everyone.
