Students from the Center for Career Innovation recently competed in the SkillsUSA South Carolina State Leadership and Skills Conference in the Diesel Equipment Technology competition — and they absolutely crushed it!
Out of competitors from across the state, our students placed 1st and 2nd in South Carolina.
During the competition, students rotated through 10 different skill stations, demonstrating their abilities in:
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Engine diagnostics
• Failure analysis
• Professional interview skills
…and more.
Judges shared nothing but outstanding feedback about the expertise, knowledge, and professionalism shown by these CCI students.
👏 Congratulations to:
• Walker McDonald (12th grade)
• Sebastian Schweitzer (12th grade)
• Elijah Gibson (10th grade)
We are incredibly proud of how they represented CCI and Clover Schools!

Our students recently received a toolbox fully stocked with tools along with three hydraulic cylinders, which will provide valuable hands-on learning opportunities in the classroom.
This has been an exciting new partnership with our local John Deere dealer, and we truly appreciate their support in helping our students gain real-world experience and skills for the future. 🚜🔧

We are excited for them to represent our school, grow their leadership skills, and connect with other future healthcare professionals from across the state.
Wishing them the Best of Luck!

On February 25, students traveled to Columbia to attend a South Carolina Real Estate Commission meeting, where they observed real disciplinary hearings involving real estate and property management licensees. This unique experience gave students valuable insight into the professional standards, ethics, and responsibilities required in the real estate industry.
Not only did students learn a great deal, they also made some fantastic professional connections along the way!
BONUS: South Carolina Real Estate Commission Chair John Rinehart will be visiting students in person at Clover’s Center for Career Innovation on March 16 to continue the conversation and share more industry insight.
What an amazing real-world learning experience for these future real estate professionals!

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Nicholas Czaikowski earned 1st Place in the 2026 Automotive All-Star Challenge Competition for ASE Accredited Programs!
To qualify, students first had to take an ASE exam. The top 12 students in the state advanced to the hands-on competition held at Midlands Technical College. There, competitors put their skills to the test by troubleshooting vehicle systems and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems.
Nick’s outstanding technical knowledge and performance earned him a brand-new toolbox and tool set — and that’s not all!
Our school was also awarded $5,000 to help support and enhance our automotive program!
We are incredibly proud of Nick’s hard work, dedication, and talent. The future of the automotive industry is in great hands!
