Join us in celebrating both our Teacher of the Year and our Support Staff
Member of the Year at the Center for Career Innovation!

Teacher of the Year at the Center for Career Innovation - Shalyn Wehbie! 🎉
Ms. Wehbie truly embodies what it means to be an exceptional educator. Her peers describe her as compassionate, patient, and unwaveringly dedicated to her students’ success—both inside and outside the classroom. She creates an environment where students feel supported, valued, and inspired to do their very best every day.
From building strong relationships to encouraging critical thinking, Ms. Wehbie goes above and beyond to empower her students to reach their full potential. Whether she’s working hands-on in the greenhouse, leading students through FFA events, or teaching multiple curriculums, she is always “in the trenches” with her students—guiding, supporting, and inspiring them.
Her impact doesn’t stop with students. Ms. Wehbie is also an incredible teammate—always willing to lend a hand, share resources, and support her colleagues. She helps foster a culture of collaboration, positivity, and professionalism across our campus.
Simply put—she always puts students first.
We are proud, grateful, and incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Wehbie as part of the CCI family. 💙

Shoutout to an Incredible Partner!
The Center for Career Innovation would like to extend a huge thank you to DEUTZ Power Center Southeast in Rock Hill for their generous support of our Diesel Engine Technology program!
Their recent donation of an engine to the winners of the SC SkillsUSA competition is an amazing opportunity for our students to continue building their skills and passion in the field.
But it doesn’t stop there—DEUTZ is also donating a control panel, which will allow our students to run the engine and gain hands-on experience using diagnostic scan tools. This kind of real-world training is invaluable and helps prepare our students for success in the workforce.
We are so grateful for community partners like DEUTZ who invest in the future of our students! 👏

Diesel Program Partners
Huge shoutout to Blanchard CAT for their incredible support of CCI’s Diesel Engine Technology program! 👏🔧
Jason Nelson and Emmalyn Dunn have gone above and beyond this year—playing a key role in the SC SkillsUSA competition by leading three competitive stations focused on engine diagnostics, failure analysis, and cooling system troubleshooting. Their expertise helped create an authentic, real-world experience for our students.
After the competition, they welcomed our group for an inside look at their facility and even gave us a tour of their new location currently under construction—an amazing opportunity for our students to see the industry in action!
And the icing on the cake…
A generous donation of tools to CCI’s winner, Sebastian Schweitzer! Sebastian plans to attend ThinkBIG in the power generation pathway after graduation, and this support will help set him up for success.
We are so grateful for partnerships like this that truly make a difference for our students and their futures!

Clover School District’s first-ever Real Estate Program students recently had an incredible opportunity to learn outside the classroom!
On February 25, students traveled to Columbia to attend a South Carolina Real Estate Commission meeting, where they observed real disciplinary hearings involving real estate and property management licensees. This unique experience gave students valuable insight into the professional standards, ethics, and responsibilities required in the real estate industry.
Not only did students learn a great deal, they also made some fantastic professional connections along the way!
BONUS: South Carolina Real Estate Commission Chair John Rinehart will be visiting students in person at Clover’s Center for Career Innovation on March 16 to continue the conversation and share more industry insight.
What an amazing real-world learning experience for these future real estate professionals!

🔧 BIG NEWS FOR OUR AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAM! 🔧
On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Nicholas Czaikowski earned 1st Place in the 2026 Automotive All-Star Challenge Competition for ASE Accredited Programs!
To qualify, students first had to take an ASE exam. The top 12 students in the state advanced to the hands-on competition held at Midlands Technical College. There, competitors put their skills to the test by troubleshooting vehicle systems and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems.
