There was some awesome STEM learning going on throughout the school on Friday! Mrs. Barber's Class did some Science experiments with their pumpkin and Mrs. Harrington's Class connected their activity to the book "Spooky the Square Pumpkin." OES is an incredible place to learn.

Let's Celebrate! 5th grade Students in Mrs. Brandenburg's, Mrs. Eller's, and Mrs. Smith's classes met their October iReady goal!

OES showed incredible spirit during Red Ribbon Week! Students and staff looked fantastic each day as they joined together to promote drug prevention and awareness. It was inspiring to see everyone’s enthusiasm and commitment to making healthy, positive choices!

The Clover LEAF Prize Patrol made a special stop today with the giant check in hand! Congratulations to Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Hinkle — two amazing OES teachers who have big plans for our OES students. These grants will help bring even more exciting learning opportunities to our classrooms!

Mrs. Burgess’ 2nd grade class had some special visitors from Clover High School! Ms. Bohlen’s French students stopped by to share the fairy tales they wrote and illustrated. The high schoolers read each page in French and then translated it into English for our 2nd graders. Everyone enjoyed listening to the stories, asking questions, and learning a little French along the way. What a wonderful partnership and a great day of learning together!

Today, Mr. Day’s 4th grade class became superheroes as they explored the prefix super, which means beyond, over, and above! Students had a great time connecting the meaning of the prefix with their superhero powers and creativity. What a “super” way to make learning fun!

We are proud to celebrate Mr. Jenkins, our Staff Member of the Month! Mr. Jenkins is one of our outstanding assistant principals here at OES, and he consistently goes above and beyond to support both staff and students. We recognize his dedication, leadership, and commitment to making OES the best it can be. Congratulations, Mr. Jenkins, and thank you for all that you do for our school community!

As a reminder, students will be dismissed at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 18th. Please send any transportation changes to your child's teacher no later than 9:15 AM on Thursday, September 18th. Also, there is no school on Friday, September 19th, as that is a Teacher Workday.

CSD is currently experiencing a partial network outage that is impacting phone and internet service to Oakridge Elementary and Oakridge Middle School.

OES is excited to announce our very first Talent Show, open to all Kindergarten–5th grade students! Parents will submit a video of their child (or group) showcasing their talent, which will be featured on our school news show! The fall deadline is October 3rd. We can't wait to see all the talented kids at OES!

Today we kicked off our Boosterthon Pep Rally and the energy was off the charts! Our students are so excited to be part of this fun event — all while raising money for something super special: Phase TWO of our playground equipment!

The Innovation Bus will be at OES in early September. If you are willing to donate any of these items - it would really help us decorate the bus! Thank you!

What a great first week of school at OES! Students jumped right into learning, making new friends, and building our school community.

We apologize but the internet and all phones are down at schools across the Clover School District due to an AT&T outage. This means that schools and the Transportation Department are unable to receive parent phone calls at this time.

CSD parents and guardians will receive a text message and email on Wednesday, July 30, from Apptegy, the district's communication tool provider.
This invitation is not spam or junk mail! It will direct you to download the CSD mobile app and create a Rooms account to support communication between you and your child's teacher(s).
Secondary parents who created accounts last winter do not need to take any additional action. The primary aim of this distribution is to reach all elementary parents and secondary parents who have not yet set up accounts.
