🏠 Career Pathway Spotlight: Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) teaches life skills and career prep in areas like human development, culinary arts, nutrition, education, and finance, bridging academics with practical life/work skills for careers in helping professions, hospitality, design, or education, using hands-on learning and student organizations like FCCLA.

Health Science 2 students learned the basics of fire safety last week and how these essential skills apply directly to keeping healthcare workplaces safe.
A big shoutout to Caden Lowrance, a Health Science 2 student who is also enrolled in Firefighter 1 with Chief Boyd, for leading a demonstration on how to properly operate a fire extinguisher using a virtual fire extinguisher simulator. An awesome, real-world learning experience for all!

This past summer, Levi had the incredible opportunity to attend Charlotte Fire Summer Camp at the Charlotte Fire Academy! 🔥🚒
Through hands-on training, teamwork challenges, and leadership development, Levi gained real-world experience in firefighting fundamentals while building confidence and resilience. The Charlotte Fire Department’s summer camps are designed to inspire and prepare the next generation of first responders, and Levi rose to the challenge.
