We apologize but the internet and all phones are down at schools across the Clover School District due to an AT&T outage. This means that schools and the Transportation Department are unable to receive parent phone calls at this time.

CSD parents and guardians will receive a text message and email on Wednesday, July 30, from Apptegy, the district's communication tool provider. This invitation is not spam or junk mail! It will direct you to download the CSD mobile app and create a Rooms account to support communication between you and your child's teacher(s). Secondary parents who created accounts last winter do not need to take any additional action. The primary aim of this distribution is to reach all elementary parents and secondary parents who have not yet set up accounts. Need some help? Check out support resources on our homepage at https://www.clover.k12.sc.us/o/district/page/rooms-support.

The Clover School District (CSD) Board of Trustees approved the appointment of three new principals for the 2025-2026 school year. The appointments were made during a special called meeting on Thursday, May 29. The vacancies were created by the appointment of principals to lead the new schools CSD will open in Fall 2026. Jennifer Camp has been named the new principal of Bethel Elementary. She succeeds Shavon O’Brien, who is opening Liberty Hill Elementary. Camp has served as an assistant principal at Oakridge Elementary since 2016. Camp holds a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from Winthrop University, a master of education degree in curriculum and instruction from Winthrop University and a master of education degree from the University of South Carolina in educational administration. Two principals have been appointed to replace Dr. Maurice Thomas at Crowders Creek Elementary. Thomas has been appointed to serve as the first principal of Roosevelt MIddle School. Crowders Creek is one of the largest elementary schools in South Carolina and will be led by one principal for grades K-2 and another principal for grades 3-5. Donna Kelly has been appointed the Grade K-2 principal at Crowders Creek. Kelly currently serves as the principal of Ida Rankin Elementary in Gaston County. She served as the assistant principal of Ida Rankin for six years before becoming the school’s principal. Kelly spent four years as an English language arts and social studies instructional and curriculum specialist in the district office for Gaston County Schools. Registration is now open for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students in the Clover School District for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration is completed online through the Clover School District website, www.clover.k12.sc.us. To be eligible to register, children must be age four for pre-kindergarten, or age five for kindergarten on or before September 1, 2025. Each child should be registered by their parent/legal guardian for the elementary school zone in which they currently reside. Any family that is unsure of which school they are zoned for can visit the address locator tool, located at https://www.clover.k12.sc.us/page/residency-information Parents of returning students will receive an email from the district's new registration software, FinalForms, to connect them to their account. If you have a returning student, please do not create a new registration account for them. Registration requires you submit all documentation listed below in the online form. If you are unable to submit digitally, you may reach out to your zoned elementary school for alternative options. For pre-kindergarten families only, a screening assessment appointment will be scheduled once all documents have been received. Documentation required for each student includes: Two (2) proofs of residence that include the name and address of the parent/legal guardian (for more information about proof of residence website Immunization record from a medical office on the South Carolina Immunization Form (DHEC 4024). This form can be obtained by: Asking your child’s Health Care Provider for the immunizations to be printed on a South Carolina Immunization Form. Taking your child’s current immunization record to a South Carolina Health Department for transfer to a South Carolina Immunization Form (DHEC 4024) or asking DHEC to enter them into the Immunization Registry (SIMON). Proof of birth (e.g. a legal birth certificate with the state seal) For more information about our pre-kindergarten program, visit the Early Childhood Education Section on the website to access the answers to Frequently Asked Questions: https://www.clover.k12.sc.us/page/early-childhood-education

UPDATE: Registration for the Montessori Parent Information Sessions has now closed. Clover School District’s Montessori Program will enter its ninth year in the fall of 2025. For those unfamiliar with the program, the district will host two parent meetings. Griggs Road Elementary School is home to the district’s Montessori program, which hosts two classes of three-, four- and five-year-old students. The Montessori method promotes classrooms that are made up of a mixed age group of students, therefore, forming communities in which the older children spontaneously share their knowledge with the younger ones. Montessori also enables children to explore a variety of materials with differing levels of difficulty and fosters leadership skills. Montessori represents a different approach to education that has successfully developed motivated and self-disciplined learners. This year, Clover School District will host two virtual meetings. Tuesday, February 4, 2025, virtually from 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025, virtually from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. To register for the program, parents must attend one of the two meetings. Parents can register for the parent information meetings via this link: PARENT INFORMATION MEETING. The program will be open to students throughout the entire district, not just those that live within the Griggs Road zone. The registration form and all required documentation must be submitted by Monday, February 24, 2025, by 3 p.m. The district will hold a lottery on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, to select the students who will be eligible to enroll in the Montessori classes for the 2025-2026 school year. Shortly following the lottery, families will be notified of their placement. Families who are not placed within the Montessori program will have the option to be added to a waiting list for any opening that may occur. Families who registered a pre-kindergarten aged child for the Montessori program who was not selected will have the option to be screened for the district’s pre-kindergarten program. For more information about our Montessori program, click here to visit the Early Childhood Education Section on the website to access the answers to Frequently Asked Questions.

Clover School District will open on a one-hour delay, tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025. While roads are relatively clear at this time, we believe the delay will improve visibility where any icy patches are concerned. Start times for tomorrow will be as follows: Elementary Schools–8:35 a.m. Middle Schools–9:00 a.m. High Schools–10:00 a.m. We encourage all families to take necessary safety precautions when traveling to school tomorrow.

Out of an abundance of caution, Clover School District (CSD) has canceled all afternoon and evening activities on our campuses beginning at 5 p.m. today. Our community is under a winter weather advisory from 4 p.m. today through 9 a.m. tomorrow. CSD will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 22. This delay will allow our staff to evaluate conditions in the morning to determine whether we can open safely or whether it will be necessary to cancel school and plan for an inclement weather make-up day on Monday, February 17.

Clover School District (CSD) will transition to asynchronous E-Learning on Friday, January 10, 2025, to ensure the safety of students and staff as Winter Storm Cora approaches our area. Parents will receive direct information from their school on the details around the eLearning Day. An Asynchronous E-Learning Day means that students will not log on for live instruction from their teachers. Instead, students will complete assignments posted to Canvas (the district’s online learning management system) or provided in paper packets for our youngest learners. The asynchronous format provides families with the greatest flexibility in how and when their students complete the assignments because students are not required to be online at any specific time. Staff will be available for office hours between 8:00 am - 11:30 am should your child need support locating or completing the assignments . Students have up to five days from Friday, January 10, to complete their work in order to be counted present for the missed day of school. All work should be completed and turned in by Friday, January 17, 2025. All athletic events have been cancelled for both Friday, January 10, and Saturday, January 11. Details about when these events will be rescheduled will be shared shortly.
