Attendance Procedures

Class Time Matters

Regular attendance is a key factor in student achievement. Clover High School and the Center for Career Innovation take attendance each class period. Students must be present for at least 60 minutes of a class block to be counted as present.

Late Arrival

Students arriving after 9 AM must report to the Attendance Office to sign in before attending class.

For seniors with late arrival on their schedule, report to the Attendance Office if you arrive after the start of your first class.

Returning to School

Students who leave campus during the school day may only return with documentation from:

  • Physician

  • Mental Health Provider

  • Orthodontist

  • Court

  • Dentist

  • Funeral Service

Dismissal Procedures

Students leaving school before the end of the school day must sign out through the Attendance Office.

Dismissal requests will not be approved by email or telephone.

Students will not be dismissed after 3:15 PM.

All dismissal notes must be submitted to the Attendance Office by 11 AM to allow time for verification.

Dismissal notes must include:

  • Student's full name

  • Date and time of dismissal

  • Reason for dismissal

  • Parent/legal guardian phone number listed in PowerSchool

  • Parent/legal guardian name and signature
