There are two programs that offer summer classes for rising 10th-12th grade CHS students:

1) The Clover High School Summer School program will utilize Edmentum online curriculum for both Initial Credit and Credit Recovery courses.  Students will complete online lessons, quizzes and tests. Cost are as follows:

INITIAL CREDIT and Retakes - $100 per course, Reduced Lunch $50.00, Free Lunch – Free

CREDIT RECOVERY - Free

Credit Recovery students are required to attend in person in the Summer School computer lab, Room 154, Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM - Noon or Noon - 4:00 PM, June 1 – June 25. All Credit Recovery coursework must be completed by Thursday, June 25.  

Credit Recovery is available for English, Math, Science and Social Studies (final grade 50-59). 

Initial Credit students work from home but are able to come to the CHS main campus to receive help from the teacher during their office hours. Initial Credit students are required to take their final exam in person in the Summer School computer lab. Initial Credit students will begin Tuesday, May 26 and have until Thursday, June 25 to complete their online coursework. Students must arrange a time to come on campus to complete their final exam by June 25.

Initial Credit classes being offered through Edmentum this summer are:  American Government, Economics, Personal Finance, Sociology, Psychology, Health, PE, Fundamentals of Computing, Art Appreciation, or Music Appreciation. (Additional Initial Credit Opportunities available upon request.)

If you are interested in attending summer school, please print, complete, and return the following FORM to your school counselor.  You can also get the form from the Counseling Center.

Deadline to register for an Initial Credit Course is Friday, May 22.

Deadline to register for a Credit Recovery Course is Friday, May 29, at noon.

2)  VirtualSC is a free program offered by the SC State Department of Education. It is completely online, and students work from anywhere they have access to the internet. VirtualSC offers both Initial Credit and Credit Recovery courses. Enrollment opens May 18th and closes June 1st. The classes begin Wednesday, June 3rd, and conclude July 28th. Students must take the final exam on the CHS campus between July 29 - August 4.
