Our October Leader in Me Family Challenge is here!
Let’s keep moving On the Road to Leadership by practicing Habit 1: Be Proactive at home! Being proactive means taking responsibility for our choices, planning ahead, and taking initiative, which are great habits for the whole family!
You received the October Be Proactive Family Challenge in your child’s folder last Thursday. Work together to complete activities on the BINGO board. Mark off 5 spaces in a row to complete BINGO!

On the Road to Leadership, we’re making healthy choices!
Our Red Ribbon Week kickoff is next Friday, October 23, followed by a week of fun October 26–30 as we encourage students to make safe, healthy choices and live drug-free!

Creating a Family Mission Statement gives your family a chance to talk about what matters most, the kind of family you want to be, and how you want to support one another. It also helps our students see how the Leader in Me habits they are learning at school can be used at home and in everyday life.

2nd Grade IOWA and CogAt Testing Schedule
After learning about Patriot Day, students in Mrs. Nellums’ fourth-grade class asked if they could create cards for our local heroes at the Clover Police and Fire Departments.
Mrs. Nellums delivered the cards this afternoon and wished her students could have seen the smiles they brought to the faces of the police officers and firefighters! We are so proud of these thoughtful students for showing kindness, gratitude, and what it truly means to be a leader.

Our young artists were glowing with creativity in Mrs. Desch’s art class! Students explored light, color, and imagination as they created amazing glow-in-the-dark artwork. Their bright ideas truly lit up the room!
Buckle up for our 7 Habits Spirit Days beginning this Thursday! We’re kicking off our journey by celebrating Habit #5, Synergize. Students are invited to wear their grade-level colors (listed at the bottom of the to show that we accomplish more when we work together! Spirit Days will continue for seven school days, so be sure to check the flyer to see what to wear as we celebrate each habit on our Road to Leadership.

Every School Day Matters! Habit #2, Begin With the End in Mind, reminds us to plan ahead. Before scheduling a family trip, use our school vacation planner to select dates that minimize missed instructional time. Planning ahead helps keep students on the road to success!

Good luck to our amazing Let Me Run team as they race in their 5K this Saturday! We are so proud of all the hard work, determination, and perseverance these students have shown throughout the season.
A special congratulations to Ronin Everhart for being awarded our Let Me Run Boy Award! Ronin will also be recognized during the 5K on Saturday for his outstanding leadership, effort, and positive attitude.
