SPECIAL EVENTS

Flip Flop Book Swap in May!
Students with almost new or gently used books may participate in our “Flip Flop Book Swap” in May. Update your home library with “new to you” summer reads! This is a great way to recycle those book fair books you’ve already read. You may bring your trade-ins to the library through May 15th (up to 10 books). You will receive a ticket so you can return to the library the week of May 18-22 to select your "new-to-you" books. See Ms. Inman for more details.

Summer Learning Challenge
On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, the children’s librarian from the Lake Wylie branch of the York County Library will be speaking to 6th graders about their Summer Reading Program. Any books you read for the York County Summer Learning Challenge will also count toward the OMS Summer Reading Challenge. Just make sure you record the book on both logs.

3) Students at the high school may be denied parking passes, library privileges, etc., until library issues are resolved.
4) If a student pays for a lost book and then finds the book, a refund can only be given during the same school year (the year the lost fee was paid). Refunds do not carry over from year to year.
