With school buses returning to the roads later this week, it's the perfect time to celebrate one of our outstanding school bus drivers!
Clover School District (CSD) Bus Driver Jackie Fleming was presented with the Humanitarian Award from the South Carolina Association of Pupil Transportation (SCAPT).
The award was presented July 16 during a luncheon held in conjunction with SCAPT's annual summer conference. SCAPT President Darryl Webb presented Jackie with the award. CSD Transportation Ross Hunter was in attendance for the presentation.
Jackie has driven for Clover for the past two years and is described as an “all in driver.” She makes an extra effort to form long-lasting relationships with students and coworkers. She is always willing to pick up routes when the district is short on drivers.

Parents who indicated that their children needed bus service when they registered their children for the 2024-2025 school year should have received emails earlier today with their children's bus route and schedule information. Parents were sent two emails--one with details for the morning route and a second with details of the afternoon route. Parents who did not receive these emails should contact their child's school.

Christopher Hansen, a senior at Clover High School, has been named a National Merit Scholar.
Christopher was one of just 2,500 students from across the country to earn the prestigious honor. Scholars are selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors from a pool of National Merit Finalists. Finalists are selected on the basis of their performance on both the PSAT and SAT, as well as their contributions to and leadership in school and community activities. Finalists have also received a letter of recommendation from a high school official.
Christopher will use his National Merit Scholarship to attend the University of South Carolina in the fall. He was recognized for his accomplishment at Monday night’s School Board meeting.

“They have shown us there’s no limit to what they can achieve.”
With those words, Clover High School (CHS) Principal Donna Farris welcomed students, staff and parents to the Employment Education Awards Brunch.
Today’s celebration recognized special education students who participated in the Occupational Credential Program or Functional Life Skills Program. The cornerstone of both programs is the acquisition of employment skills obtained through workplace experiences.
Nineteen local business partners were honored by Clover Mayor Bo Legg for providing job opportunities for students enrolled in these programs. The group also paid tribute to CHS Assistant Principal Vicki Wolford who is retiring this year after 30 years of service. Mayor Legg presented Wolford with a proclamation from the Town Council.
Individual awards were presented to:
CHS Cafeteria, Business Partner of the Year
Joseph Wodecki, Most Improved Credential Student
Haylee Nicholson, Student of the Year
Today's brunch was provided by the school district's food service, Chartwell's.

Congratulations, Lady Eagles!
