Crowders Creek Elementary School's (CCE) Student Ambassadors wrapped up their Spread the Love food drive to collect jars of peanut butter and jelly as a part of Move for Hunger's nationwide campaign to fight childhood hunger in our community. The CCE students worked really hard during the week of Valentine's Day promoting this drive and engaging classes through friendly class competition. Students and their families donated more than 2,200 jars that will go to the Clover Area Assistance Center (CAAC). CCE celebrated the end of the two-week Spreading the Love of PB&J campaign with a pie in the face celebration for exceeding their goal. The school's entire administrative team took a PB&J pie in the face on Valentine's Day. A pick up and delivery event for the donated food is currently being scheduled.

Good morning, CSD! This is your reminder that today is an e-Learning Day to make up for the instruction missed on January 22 due to inclement weather. Today is asynchronous, meaning that students will not log on to their devices for live instruction. Instead, they will be completing assignments in Canvas (the district's online learning management system) or provided paper packets. Completion of the work by Monday, March 3rd will ensure that students are counted as present for the missed school day.

On National School Resource Officers Day, CSD thanks the men and women of the Clover Police Department and York County Sheriff's Office who keep us safe.

Oakridge Middle School seventh grader Manha Shaik has been named the Clover School District Spelling Bee Champion. Manha successfully spelled the words Taxonomic, Ancillary, Genome and Netiquette to claim the top spot. On Thursday, February 13, 27 spelling bee champions from Clover’s elementary and middle schools gathered for the CSD District Spelling Bee. After 11 intense rounds, the following students earned the honor of representing Clover at the South Carolina Regional Bee, which will be held on March 8 at the Bank of America Stadium: CSD Top 5 and Regional Bee Participants 1st: OMS: Manha Shaik 2nd:CMS: Eli Russell 3rd: OMS: Eleanor Vallaro 4th: OMS: Shawn Akuforngwe 5th: CMS: Kamari Dula We congratulate all participants for their hard work and dedication. Love the Bus Month, sponsored by the National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT), is a time to harness the nation's affection for the iconic yellow school bus and highlight its vital role in our education system. The aim of the observation is to salute the professionals who safeguard students on their journeys, to and from school, and to recognize them as the everyday heroes that they truly are.

Students who miss several days of school often struggle to catch up on missed assignments and instruction. That's why there is a strong correlation between good attendance and higher student achievement.

"State of the art." That's how Clover High School (CHS) Athletic Director Bailey Jackson described the school's new Fitness and Wellness Center at today's Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the facility. The CHS Fitness and Wellness Center is a $5.8 million project. The 27,000 square-foot facility includes a weight and agility area with 29 yards of turf and school -branded equipment. There's also a multipurpose room, locker rooms, restrooms, showers, a laundry room and an auxiliary training room. Jackson paid tribute to the School Board for investing in continued excellence at Clover High School while balancing the new construction projects associated with growth in the district. Football Coach Perry Woolbright welcomed the invited guests, Athletic Director Bailey Jackson delivered remarks about how the facility would be used and Principal Donna Farris offered closing remarks. The ribbon was cut by School Board Chair Rob Wallace. All seven Clover School District Board of Trustees members attended the ceremony, along with County Commissioner Tommy Adkins (District 3).

"All Blue Eagles Ready to Work." During Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, CSD salutes the awesome opportunities available at the Applied Technology Campus (ATC).

Fifty-three Clover School District (CSD) eighth grade students were honored as Junior Scholars during a ceremony in the CSD Auditorium on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The students represented both Clover Middle School and Oakridge Middle School. The Junior Scholars program recognizes middle school school students who achieved high scores on the PSAT. Created by the South Carolina Department of Education in the 1985-1986 school year, the program seeks to identify students with exceptional academic talent and provide them with opportunities to facilitate their intellectual growth, broaden their interests and promote their scholastic achievement. Ninth Grade Campus Assistant Principal Elizabeth Gibson served as guest speaker. Students were recognized by Superintendent Dr. Sheila Quinn and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Millicent Dickey.

On National Women and Girls in Sports Day, we salute all the girls sports teams who represent us in competition across the Palmetto State, including the 2024 State Champion Girls Soccer Team.
