On Saturday, May 16, students the Fire I class took their end-of-course test at the York County Training Center in York. They demonstrated their ability to read smoke and properly extinguish a fire inside a structure. These students also showed that they could work in a team function and communicate with each other in a hostile environment . The students did problem solving skills that allowed them to understand that they can and have the skill set to achieve anything they want to.
These students have earned their South Carolina Fire I certificate (S.C. Fire Academy Class 1196-26202) and now have the right to challenge the National Firefighter Exam through Oklahoma State University to become an IFSAC Firefighter I. Some of these students are already volunteering with departments around the county.
Congratulations to these young fire fighters!

Our SLPs make a lasting impact every day—helping students find their voices, build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and succeed in the classroom and beyond. Their patience, expertise, and dedication open doors for lifelong learning and connection.

As we wrap up several weeks of Teacher and Staff Appreciation activities and enjoy end-of-year celebrations across the district, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported our staff. From heartfelt notes of appreciation from families to surprise checks from Clover LEAF for random team members to complimentary catered lunches and much more, our community has once again "shown the love" and demonstrated why the Clover School District is such a special place.
Shown here are staff members from Bethel Elementary with representatives from the Lake Wylie Walmart Supercenter. Walmart also provided a gift basket for this year’s Beginning Teacher of the Year, Savannah Hester at CHS. Thank you, Walmart, and thank you to all of our community partners for your continued support of CSD students and staff!

It was a morning for hugs, thank yous and congratulations wishes as Clover High School's Special Education Department hosted its annual Employment Education Awards Breakfast in the school cafeteria this morning.
Chartwells. the district's food service provider, sponsored the breakfast.
Students enrolled in the Occupational Credential Program, Employability Class, Functional Life Skills Program, Functional Life Skills Transition 12+ Program and Occupational Transition 12+ Program were honored at the event.
These students completed hundreds of hours in school-based and/or work-based activities over the past year to gain the confidence, independence and self-advocacy skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
Of course, the students can't gain these valuable experiences without the support of the local businesses that provide opportunities for them. A BIG thank you to the businesses who encourage and support our students:

“We’re putting a dent in the nursing shortage.”
That’s how Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) advisor Terri Campbell summarized the work of this important club at the Center for Career Innovation (CCI). With a focus on preparing future health professionals, HOSA conducts a variety of activities throughout the school year to address health concerns in the community.
Last night, the group held its end-of-year celebration to highlight a year of accomplishments. Most notably, HOSA had four times the number of members as in previous years. More than 100 students showed up for the club’s interest meeting back in the fall. The group was so large that it could no longer meet in the health occupations classroom!
More members meant the club could undertake more community service. Instead of the 10 events held in previous years, the group supported more than 50 projects in 2025-2026. These included a personal care item drive for Clover Area Assistance Center (CAAC), the NAMI Walk for mental health awareness, the American Heart Association Heart Walk, the school district’s Trunk or Treat, the district’s Holiday Assistance Program, reading to elementary school classes, helping local Girl Scout troops with first aid badges, conducting Red Cross blood drives, making cards and goodie bags for first responders and holding toy drives for Levine Children’s Hospital.
Seniors who will graduate later this month received their honor cords for HOSA and highlighted where they will be attending college and what their majors will be. Majors included public health, nursing, pre-med, psychology, biology, radiology and exercise science.
Students who competed in the State HOSA competition received certificates for their participation, along with those students who placed in the chapter’s poster and quiz bowl contests.
HOSA advisors are Terri Campbell and Carmen Myrick.
