he Clover Police Department is proud to announce the introduction of the Drug
Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) Program into two Clover School District (CSD) elementary schools.
D.A.R.E. is an internationally recognized program that was first established in the late 1980s and has recently seen a resurgence in schools across the nation. With the growing challenges of drug and alcohol use, bullying, and gun violence facing our communities, the Clover Police Department believes this program will serve as a vital tool in helping students make safe and responsible choices from an early age.
The first D.A.R.E. classes will begin on September 22, 2025, at Kinard Elementary School, with instruction provided in partnership with Clover faculty. Following Kinard, the program will expand to Larne Elementary School and eventually to other elementary schools within the Clover School District.
This initiative will not only educate students on the dangers of drugs and alcohol but will also provide a meaningful opportunity for children to interact with Clover Police Officers and School Resource Officers (SROs). Through this program, students will build positive relationships with law enforcement while developing the knowledge and skills needed to lead safe, healthy, and drug-free lives.
The Clover Police Department is excited to partner with Clover School District in making this program a success and looks forward to the positive impact it will have on our youth and community.

It's not every school that has two principals...or two principals with the same birthday.
That was exactly the occasion for celebration today at Crowders Creek Elementary. Principal Donna Kelly and Principal Stefanie House both have a September 15 birthday.
Staff members, parents and students filled their offices with a riot of balloons. While some celebrants selected balloons with birthday wishes, others tried to be silly and get balloons for any occasion--football, Thanksgiving, a new baby, baby's first communion, get well soon.
Clover is known as "the town with love in the middle," and today the Crowders Creek community showed us why in celebrating their principals' special day.

CSD is currently experiencing a partial network outage that is impacting phone and internet service to Oakridge Elementary and Oakridge Middle School.

First responders from across the Clover School District (CSD) paused this morning to reflect upon the lives lost on 9/11 and to enjoy the company of their colleagues over breakfast.
The Center for Career Innovation (CCI) and Clover High School (CHS) have hosted this annual First Responders' Breakfast on Patriot Day for several years now. It is a way for the schools to salute those in our community who dedicate their lives to the service of others.
The meal was prepared by students in the Culinary Arts program. The Culinary Arts teachers are Chef Scott Michaw and Dr. Francine Marz.

Clover School District pauses to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001 , and to dedicate ourselves to service on Patriot Day.

Clover School District students are getting hands-on exposure to cutting-edge medical technology. On Tuesday morning, students in Mrs. Terri Campbell’s CNA Clinicals class got a first-hand look at the future of medicine. As participants in Piedmont Medical Center’s annual Robotics Symposium, they explored the intersection of technology and medicine and how the use of surgical robots is transforming patient care. Students heard from medical experts and technicians who demonstrated the latest surgical technology, then tried their own hand at operating robotic instruments. Fortunately, today’s patients were Tootsie Rolls and other inanimate objects—making the experience both educational and fun!
UPDATE: Phone and internet service have been restored to all sites and campuses except Clover High School. The outage was caused by a cut to a line in the community.

CSD schools and offices are currently experiencing a phone and internet outage. The District Office, whose service is on a different network from the schools, continues to have service at this time. CSD is working with our provider to determine the cause of the outage and receive an estimate for when service will be restored.
