The 2026-2027 school year marks the first season for the new Clover High School (CHS) Robotics team.
Housed within the Center for Career Innovation (CCI), students from 9th to12th grade are working together to design, build, and play a game that changes each season.
This year, teams will play Pinnacle by stacking pins and cups on goals. Teams have an unlimited height restriction during game play.
CHS Robotics will attend the Clover Clash on Saturday, November 14.

All Clover School District (CSD) buses will conduct a front door and rear emergency door evacuation drill Thursday and Friday, September 17-18, weather permitting.
Front door drills will be held on Thursday, and rear emergency door drills will be held on Friday.

From September 15 through October 15, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month—a time to recognize and honor the rich cultures, traditions, histories and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
Our schools are stronger because of the experiences, perspectives and traditions that make up our community. Throughout the month, we encourage our students and staff to learn, celebrate and appreciate the many ways Hispanic heritage has enriched our nation and our schools. 🎉📚

Tri-District Adult Education hosted an open house today in honor of Adult Education and Literacy Week.
Administrators from across Clover School District (CSD) had an opportunity to visit the Adult Education office to learn more about the important program. The Adult Education program assists adults in our community with everything from English as a Second Language courses to GED preparation and testing.
The award-winning program is housed at the District Resource Center (DRC). Guests who attended the open house had an opportunity to sign a canvas with an inspirational message. The canvas will be displayed in the hallway so that students can read the messages as they enter their classrooms.

Lake Wylie High School (LWHS) wrapped up Legacy Week this afternoon with the school's first-ever pep rally.
The marching band played from the upper deck of the gym as students arrived. The pep rally opened with the introduction of the school's fall sports teams, including the Unified Sports teams.
The dance team and cheerleaders performed before the start of the Student-Staff Volleyball Game. The Staff team won this very first matchup.
Volunteers from each grade participated in other games to wrap up the event.

This morning, first responders arrived at the Student Union for a full breakfast prepared by students in the Culinary Arts program. Staff from Clover Police Department, Clover Fire Department, York County Sheriff's Office, Bethel Fire Department and others came together to remember those who lost their lives 25 years ago and to enjoy the fellowship of others who serve our community each day.
Members of the Board of Trustees and CSD administration were also on hand to extend their appreciation to first responders for their support of the district.
The Culinary Arts instructors are Chef Scott Michaw and Dr. Francine Marz. The event is coordinated by CCI Assistant Principal Wayne Williams.

Clover School District celebrated the Dedication of Liberty Hill Elementary with a special ceremony this morning.
School Board Chair Rob Wallace delivered welcoming remarks and highlighted the decision points made by the Board in opening the new school. Principal Shavon O'Brien shared the efforts made at building a new community of students, families, staff and business partners. Superintendent Dr. Sheila Quinn saluted all the groups who contributed to opening the school on time on August 3. Jon Hattaway of Leitner Management Group recognized the various contractors who worked on constructing the new building.
Student leadership took center stage today, as students took on many roles. Students served as greeters for the guests who arrived for the ceremony and led tours around the school when the ceremony was complete. Students presented the colors, led the Pledge of Allegiance and offered remarks about the history of Liberty Hill and what it means to be a Liberty Hill Leader.
Liberty Hill's Choir delivered the premiere performance of the school song prior to the ribbon cutting. The ribbon cutting was conducted by Mrs. O'Brien, Assistant Principal Shaun Davis, Dr. Quinn and members of the Board of Trustees.

One of the best parts of opening a new school is creating traditions that will last for years to come.
Today, under a Lake Wylie blue sky, Lake Wylie High School (LWHS) started one of those traditions.

The wall also has a collage of photos from Roosevelt High School yearbook photos. There's a trophy case that displays Roosevelt memorabilia, including a varsity letter and the 1970 boys basketball state championship trophy.
A digital kiosk is also located next to the tribute wall. The Kiosk allows visitors to scroll through digital copies of Roosevelt yearbooks and access oral history videos of Roosevelt alumni.

With those words, members of the Roosevelt High School Alumni Association helped cut the ribbon at the Roosevelt Middle School Dedication.
Today's ceremony marked the formal opening of the district's newest middle school. Roosevelt Middle School's name, colors and mascot harken back to the branding of a previous school that served African American students in the Clover community from 1922 until 1970 when area schools were desegregated.
The program included remarks from School Board Chair Rob Wallace, Roosevelt Middle School Principal Dr. Maurice Thomas, Superintendent Dr. Sheila Quinn, Project Manager Jon Hattaway, Roosevelt Alumni Association President James Love and Roosevelt Alumni Association Past President Bobby Kennedy. Student Council Officers led the Pledge of Allegiance, and the colors were presented by the Clover High School Air Force JROTC.
The most touching moment of the morning came when members of the Roosevelt Middle School Choir joined the Roosevelt High School Alumni Association in singing Roosevelt High School's Alma Mater.
Guests visited a history display in the school following the ceremony and enjoyed refreshments provided by the PTO.

Sixth through eighth grade students are busy building and modifying their robots at practice. Their first match will be Saturday, October 24, in Greenville, SC.
CMS will host a Robotics Tournament on Saturday, November 14.
